Live prawns caught at Beachy Head, East Sussex, England. Live prawns are the colour of the sea with great camouflage. If the sea is clear so are they. When the sea becomes sandy their colour changes to suit. They are almost impossible to see even in clear water, until they move! Once cooked they turn the usual pink. Prawns have evolved into the perfect scavengers of the sea eating just about anything they come across until something eats them. Like crows they eat the eyes of the dead bodied first! Prawns
